At Branch Street Coffee Roasters, we do things differently.  We have a passion for all things coffee, and we want to share our excitement with you.  From the moment you experience the first taste, you will know that it is something special.

It all starts with the coffee. We work closely with importers to find the best coffee available on the market.   When a special offering becomes available, we get a call.

Our coffee roasting method is what really sets us apart.  We proudly use a Diedrich specialty coffee roaster to bring out flavors and characteristics that put our product in a league of its own.  Each coffee is carefully studied and tasted before we design a roasting method that will enhance the flavor for that particular bean.

To ensure freshness, we fire up the roaster several times a week and small-batch roast only the amount we use.  This ensures that the coffee is as fresh as it can be, and it is loaded with flavor when it hits your cup.

ABOUT US

Our History:

Owners Matt and Kristin Campbell live in Boardman, OH.  They have two children and love being part of the Youngstown community.

Life long Austintown native, Kristin, works full time as a Business Analyst.  She earned her MBA from Monmouth University in New Jersey.  After the arrival of their son, Kristin and Matt moved home to Boardman to raise their family.

Roaster and self proclaimed coffee nerd, Matt, left a promising career in medicine to follow his dream of being a coffee roaster and barista.  He spent 12 years in medicine doing oncology work before deciding to pursue that dream.

MEET THE BARISTAS

At Branch Street, we are careful to only select team members who are as passionate about coffee as we are. The first thing you will notice about our baristas is that they are friendly and fun. We love what we do and it shows. Branch Street baristas go through a long training process to ensure that they are able to produce the exceptional quality drinks that you expect. There is a lot of skill that goes into making the perfect cup of coffee, and we want you to notice the difference.

Matt has been roasting coffee professionally since 2011. He left a career in medicine to pursue his dream to build Branch Street and bring his love for specialty coffee to the Youngstown area.

Owner

Kristin, an Austintown native, has a Masters Degree in Business Administration. She works as a lead business analyst by day, and is the biz brains of Branch Street by night.

General Manager

Sam has a history in video production and photography, and an immense passion for coffee. He joined our management team in 2017, and brings his experience and knowledge to our Boardman store.

Shift Lead

Harley began with Branch Street on day one, and quickly became immersed in the coffee culture. She splits her time between teaching yoga and slinging drinks. She usually whistles (off key) to every song playing.

Event Coordinator

Megan began looking to expand her coffee passion, and found Branch Street in our early days. A strong work ethic and attention to detail make her a great barista.

You may recognize Stephen from your time spent at Culture House Coffee Roasters. While he and his wife Mary find their future retail space, we asked him to come on board to help fill our quickly growing demand.

Troy was in our shop drinking coffee; a lot. When we announced on social media that we were hiring, he camped out at the front door overnight so he could fill out our application the very next day. He is a Pokemon Master, and certified Barista Level 2.
