JOB SUMMARY

The Barista effectively and professionally attends to guest needs, serves drinks accurately and efficiently, and performs tasks as required. This is a part time position.

JOB DUTIES

  • Greets guests upon entrance

  • Effectively communicates with guests to ensure correct order

  • Prepares orders according to standards

  • Maintains cafe cleanliness

  • Attends to guest needs throughout their stay

  • Performs duties on task list according to standards

  • Communicates with staff according to standards

  • Maintains a professional work attitude at all times

  • Performs other tasks as required

JOB SETTING

Cafe with exposure to hot liquids and breakable glass. Exposure to high pressure and temperature equipment. Exposure to chemicals for cleaning. High noise level at times. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to be on feet for entire shift with minimal breaks. Must be able to safely use a ladder to retrieve stock items.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • HS Diploma

  • 18 years of age

  • Familiarity with coffee preparation is preferred

  • Experience with customer service is preferred

  • Reliable transportation is required
